Sweet Rest

I'm sorry I've been kind of missing in action the past few days. It's been a hectic week. I had a quiz on Thursday and an exam on Friday for a class I fear, Statistics, and then tons of reading and homework for my other classes. Nursing school isn't cake ya'll. If you ever thought it was, think again! Good thing I love what I'm doing lest I be miserable. I cannot explain how joyful I was to enter into the day of rest, the Sabbath. That special day that God set aside since the beginning of time to bask in His presence and let go of all the worries and cares of the week. I love a day when I just drop all my homework, all my labor and toiling, and just rest in Jesus. It's truly marvelous and healthy! So this morning I went to church and was filled spiritually with the word of God. Then I spent Sabbath lunch in fellowship with some great friends. And finally, we ended our Sabbath packing manna packs for Feed My Starving Children with our youth group. At the end of the day, we helped  prepare manna packs that will feed 39 children for 1 full year. That's pretty incredible for 2 hours of work. It was a blessed day.
skirt & top: birthday gift from my family, shoes: aerosoles thrifted
And to top it all off, I was surprised with a big Wuollet Bakery carrot cake and a sweet birthday song. I have such special friends.
I pray you too will start this new week reenergized!

With Love,
