Shabbat was an epic day in every sense. It usually is epic, I mean it's Sabbath, the best day ever. For one, I was able to welcome Sabbath on sunset Friday with a clean & organized house, and a candle lit emanating a sweet lavender aroma. Then we got to go to Friday night vespers with our young adult group and have an awesome conversation about the book You Lost Me. I learned so much about myself as a person and as a Christian. Not to mention, I got to eat a yummy taco salad AND a Greek salad on the same plate. I got to sleep a full 9 hours for the first time in a long time and went to church energized and rested. We packed emergency kits for Hurricane Sandy victims in the Northeast coast and that was wonderful! Then we ate a delicious potluck with some of the best curry and rice I've ever had! Mmmm, so good! We stayed chatting away with friends until we got tired and went home, changed, and prepared for an epic night of my first James Bond movie (I know!!), margarita pizza, laugher, and amazing friends. May I just add, I am so grateful for every one of you friends I've made in MN, you guys make a world of a difference in my life! I love you all!
It's Sunday now, so I'm back to reality and with lots of homework to catch up on! Feeling a little fussy with a small cold but fighting like a champ with an overdose of vitamin C, echinacea, garlic, vitamin D, and multi-vitamins. Yes, I believe in this stuff. I'm my mother's daughter!
Anyway, I hope you all have a blessed week ahead!!!
P.S. Just for kicks: At the movie theater, I wanted to use the bathroom before starting the movie so I proceeded to exit the theater in the dark. I didn't see any exit signs and I totally blanked about how to get out of there. I ended up running into a black wall and cracking myself up when I found the right way out. People must've thought I was crazy. Welcome to my life.
