About

a little bit about me
I'm a latin girl born and raised in Miami who married her high school sweetheart, moved to  Iceland, just kidding, I moved to Minnesota, for school. I'm a nursing student completely and utterly obsessed with birth. Yup, call me crazy. I love babies, every single one. I'm so excited to graduate in 2014 and begin "real life" but in the meantime, I am doing my best to relish every moment in time.
I'm a girly girl. I love pretty things, pink, sunflowers, Oreo cookies, mangos, and sunshine.
I love Jesus. He is my lover, my friend, my comforter, healer, my redeemer, my provider, my everything. I stand in awe of His love, his mercy, and his unmerited grace. When I mess up, stray away, or ignore His presence, He never ceases to pursue me and draw me back to His loving embrace.
I have an amazing husband, Anthony, who makes me feel like his prized possession. We come up with ridiculous nicknames for each other, laugh like crazy together, and fall in love more each day. We met when I was in middle school and He was a freshman in high school, fell in love (seriously), and couldn't stay away ever since.
the heart behind why I blog

I believe the Lord has called us as young women to "come out from among them and be separate." [2 Corinthians 6:17] That means to live a set-apart life that reflects Jesus and his beauty. The scriptures tell us that we are a "chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that [we] may declare the praises of him who called [us] out of darkness and into his wonderful light." [1 Peter 2:9] It is my sole desire to glorify Christ through this blog. With every word, photo, recipe or message, I pray that I will be directing you away from me and toward Christ, the lover of my soul.

With all my love,
