"The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies the work of His hands."
Psalm 19:1
A word on swimwear: I have gone through my share of swimwear "phases." From when I was a teenager and hated the "modesty" chat and begged my mom to buy me a bikini, or at the very least a tankini. Or the time when I finally got a bikini and wore it with shorts to have a hint of modesty. Or when I decided to get a one piece. I've pretty much done it all when it comes to swimwear. However, I think I've finally come to understand what God's been trying to speak to me all these years about modesty and swimsuits. I find that I feel so much more comfortable in sport shorts and an athletic tank with a swimsuit underneath. Something like what I wore to kayak is actually really comfortable AND modest. That's not to say it's the only thing we should wear. There are modest swimsuit options and that's up to each person's discretion. You'll often have to go to the vintage swimsuits to find something modest, though. (they are super cute though!) No more panicking about whether or not my bikini bottom will accidentally untie on a rough wave or if my one piece halter top will slip and reveal things that need to be covered Janet Jackson style. So what I don't look super sexy? Going in the water does not necessarily mean we need to wear fast-drying bras and underwear because a bikini covers the same (or sometimes less) than what a bra and underwear will cover. I know this is a touchy subject so I'll drop it here. Let God speak to you through His still small voice and let you know how you can honor Him even in the little bitty things.
Not much fashion in the outdoors except my $2 flower flip flops from Hobby Lobby.
Few times in my life have I enjoyed such a gorgeous view of nature. Kayaking in Austin really exposed me to the beauty of God's creation. I wish I had a water-proof camera or I would've taken so many more pictures of the view (and of all our fun flipping and "falling" off the kayak!)
I've got to say, of all the cities I've visited in Texas, Austin has been my favorite one!

I totally agree!! I am so comfortable in a tank and board shorts! Don't have to fret about how my body looks or if my bathing suit is going to come untied! I had a blast yesterday by the way!! :) I wish I would have known you guys wanted an underwater camera. I would have got you one! But, I have two cameras that I am getting developed today so I will post them this week! I got some great action shots (like you guys falling out of the kayak! lol!)
