Once again, God is in the business of speaking to my heart. I can totally relate to the feeling of wanting to accelerate time, wishing away important times of my life in order to skip to some day in the future. "I can't wait to be a nurse already! I can't wait to attend my first birth as a doula! I can't wait to be settled in a city where I can buy a house and start a family. I can't wait to..." And then today I hear God silencing the thoughts racing in my head with a loud shout saying, "Rubi! Take a chill pill! You are 20 years old! Let ME handle your future and enjoy everyday as it comes. Life is fleeting; it goes by so quickly. Don't wish away any bit of time because it is precious. Use it wisely, devote yourself to ME and I will assure you, you will enjoy everyday of your life abundantly as I have promised you! Let my will be done, not yours!" Praise God for interfering in just the right moments before we get so caught up in our plans about life that we forget we are HIS. In conclusion, I don't know how life will happen, He does. But I do know that I will live contently everyday, rejoicing in my Lord, regretting nothing, and never again wish away another day.
